Character Introduction

A/N: Since there are a lot of characters, I thought I would introduce the characters before it’s too late.

First Year Students

・Tooru Saejima

The protagonist of this story. Class 1-4. Broadcasting club. Before the zombie outbreak, he wasn’t particularly noticeable in class, but with his sharp situational judgment and exceptional leadership skills, he currently serves as the leader, though Shinji doesn’t think very highly of him. He’s basically not athletic but compensates with his intellect.

・Daiki Oota

Tooru’s friend. Class 1-4. Basketball club. Possesses an astonishing physique that seems almost non-Japanese, so much so that Seiji calls him a “Rugger” (rugby player). He gets along very well with Kazuma and often comes up with silly ideas, for which Takumi punishes him. He’s very weak to women and can never refuse their requests.

・Sakura Yamashita

Class 1-4. Wind instrument club. Her appearance is extremely beautiful, so much that all the boys turn to look when she walks down the hallway. However, when she first moved here, she was bullied for being from the countryside, leading to a somewhat twisted personality. Because the virus mutated inside her body, she can still move freely and can command nearby zombies.

・Ryuu Kamada

Class 1-3. Wind instrument club. Easygoing to the point of being a carefree optimist, he doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Though overweight, he says what’s inside him is “dreams and hope.” He loves making and breaking things, so he single-handedly handles weapon manufacturing. Since bonding with Rei over the topic of the show “Cheering Combination Godbind”, they’ve been close friends.

・Rei Shimaura

Class 1-3. Wind instrument club. Quite cowardly but grows significantly through one-on-one battles with monsters. He respects Tooru because he’s not good at proactively doing anything he’s not told. He likes the protagonist Jiiza from “Cheering Combination Godbine” and secretly delights in being told by Ryuu that he resembles Jiiza.

・Hazuki Asagiri

Class 1-3. Karate club manager. Described by Takumi as “cute like a small animal,” she’s more cute than traditionally beautiful. Talkative and bright but very shy about romance. She became a manager to spend more time with Takumi but still hasn’t confessed her feelings.

Second Year Students

・Seiji Honda

Class 2-2. Boxing club. His hairstyle and sharp eyes make him look like a delinquent and violent, but he rarely uses violence except on Tsubasa. He dislikes his childhood friend Tsubasa and hits him whenever they meet, but he feels a strange unease about having actually agreed to one of Tsubasa’s requests.

・Tsubaki Honma

Class 2-3. Not in any club. Has androgynous features. Childhood friend of Seiji and accepts his violence. The reason is unclear, but something probably happened during their childhood. Quiet personality, not very good at sports or studies.

・Miu Shimizu

Class 2-5. Library committee (exempt from club activities). Quiet and one of the top beauties at school. A big reader, often reading three books a day. Has a strong friendship with Yuuki, sharing similar worries. Calm enough to touch corpses without hesitation to gather information.

・Yuuki Miyoshi

Class 2-5. Archery club and student council. Vice president of the student council and strict about its rules. Skilled in archery, able to shoot accurately without losing focus even against moving zombie targets or former humans. Close with Miu.

Third Year Students

・Takumi Toudou

Class 3-2. Former karate club captain. National-level strength and overwhelmingly strong against zombies. At first glance gruff, but he’s caring, reprimanding Kazuma and Daiki, and awkwardly trying to ease Daiki’s tension. Respected by Daiki as “the man’s man.” Unaware that Hazuki has feelings for him.

・Kazuma Aso

Class 3-2. Former baseball club captain. Handsome but a womanizer. Calls Takumi “Tacchan” affectionately. Currently targeting Sakura. Thinks of Daiki like a little brother and often partners with him in his actions.

・Jun Haiga.

Class 3-4. Not in any club. Suffers from psychogenic mutism, caused by the traumatic murder of his family (except himself) during childhood. Adopted by the Haiga family but still driven by revenge. Ryuu finds his fearlessness of death eerie.

・Sayo Haiga

Class 3-4. Not in any club. Adopted by the Haiga family as Jun’s older sister. Lives with Jun and plays the caring older sister role. Keeps the reason why Jun came to the Haiga family a secret and was shaken when Ryuu asked about it.

・Shinji Shouda

Class 3-5. Student council president. Proud of his position and believes he’s the best at giving orders, so he doesn’t like Tooru, the leader. Often acts condescending without realizing it.
